Bengaluru Traffic Police & Google to join hands together to solve city’s traffic issues.

After startups, traffic is the thing that comes to mind when we hear Bengaluru.

Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) collaborated with Google to use tech for urban movement.

With over one crore vehicles on the road, handling traffic has become a herculean task for BTP.

With Google, BTP aims to reduce signal wait times.

👉 Google uses AI to track driving trends.
👉 This recommends revised plans for traffic police each day.
👉 And offers live updates on road closure/incidents.

➡ Google Map now has speed limits to tackle speeding vehicles.

➡This is to reduce wait times by 20% per commuter, 400 hrs per intersection & 73k hrs per year at the pilot intersection.

The coming together of tech giants like Google & Indian Traffic Police is transformative.

Bengaluru is at a critical juncture. This decisions will be locked in for the next 20 years.

This collab will aid the 40-months deadline set by PM Modi to ease Bengaluru traffic.

It’s just when Google & Traffic Police will roll out this plan in other cities!
