The health insurance sector in India is expecting growth at a rate of 10.1 per cent in the years between 2021 and 2027. Distribution and affordability are two keywords to get a large number of people insured, informed experts.
New Delhi: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) which plans to create a healthcare infrastructure that will bridge the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem through digital highways. Speaking at the “Conference on Health Insurance 2042- Let us Plan for Ambitious Target for 2042″, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Jaswal stated that distribution and affordability are two keywords to get a large number of people insured.
She elaborated that it is impossible to reach out to them in smaller numbers, hence a concept of the group should be brought in. “It can be professional affinity, local affinity, staff affinity, etc. We should insure them in large numbers, not small,” she said.
