Country’s largest electric vehicle charging station started in this city, hundreds of cars can be parked together

New Delhi. India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station was inaugurated on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in Gurugram on Friday. The new charging station has the facility to charge 100 four-wheelers at a time. The station is bigger than the EV charging station located in Navi Mumbai with 16 AC and 4 DC charging ports.

This charging station has been developed by tech-piloting company Alektrify Private Limited. The company said that this station has just been started with 96 chargers for safety testing to be done by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Along with this, the avenues for use of government land on the basis of revenue sharing are also open for private entities.

This charging station has been built in Sector 52 of Gurugram. It will be powered by Alektrify itself. This EV charging station will not only give a boost to the electric vehicle industry in the region but will also serve as a benchmark for larger EV charging stations across the country in future.

Speaking at the inauguration, Abhijit Sinha, National Program Director, Ease of Doing Business Program and Project Director, National Highways for Electric Vehicles in an additional charge, said, “India is on the verge of investing in an e-mobility charging infra setup, which will enable Comparatively highly competitive. Ease of licensing, commissioning, electrification, certification and revenue comparison with existing petrol pumps is more profitable.,

The demand for electric vehicles has increased in some time. India is also moving in the direction of electric mobility. Its effect was also seen that car manufacturers are also paying more attention to this segment. Actually, the cost of running an electric vehicle is cheaper than that of petrol diesel. This does not put a burden on the pockets of the customers and gets rid of expensive fuel.
