Ease of Doing Business conducted its first joint meeting with ELSEVIER team post selecting their application to partner in its digital health pilot DIISHA (Digital Innovations Interventions for Sustainable HealthTech Action) today in Gurugram.
The pilot structured to contribute in the clarion call of union govt 2022 Budget for up-gradation of two-lakh anganwadis and empowering India’s frontline health workers (ASHA workers) by training and upskilling them on a digital platform.
Abhijeet Sinha, National Program Director, Ease of Doing Business program said, “We all realized the importance of front-line health workers during the pandemic and grasped the potential of nine-lakh ASHA personals in holding healthcare management of our 60% population in the country, if properly trained and digitally upgraded.”
“DIISHA a pilot with a mission to make healthcare more sustainable, responsive and transparent, has been conceptualized for establishing a commercial viability of the project with health tech companies to provide their best technology, products and services to rollout a framework for upgrading the current ecosystem.
Selection of ELSEVIER would inculcate years of their educational knowledge and hands on grounds experience in this world largest pilot, generating relevant data to contribute in the government’s larger goals by enabling healthcare stakeholders to take crucial policy decisions on digitisation,” he added.
